MARRIED At First Sight made show history tonight when one wedding was completely ruined and guests were forced to flee the ceremony in Australia.
Hoping to find love later in life, Tim and Lucinda met for the first time at the altar in the new series of the E4 marriage experiment.
Everything appeared idyllic at first, with the nuptials held outdoors in a national park that overlooked stunning mountains and a lake.
Lucinda looked incredible too wearing a white lace gown and matching headpice, while Tim put on a dapper dislay in a dark suit.
But when Lucinda began to read out her vows, Tim couldn’t hide his confusion.
In her vows, Lucinda told Tim: “I’m a servant of the spirit, love and light I’m here to nurture and to dazzle.
“I knew that the universe was conspiring on this one, it just feels like divine intervention.”
But he groom said after the ceremony: “Nothing about this day has been normal. Not a thing.”
His comments came after their wedding officiant used the white wing of a chicken with the feathers still in tact, to waft frankincense in his face, before they both said “I do”.
Tim said “Erm, she’s a great looking girl, she has a great smile, I love her dress but I’m getting the sense she is an energy spiritual type of person which is very different.
“They were waving a chicken wing at me, and I felt very uncomfortble.
“And I’ve seen the back of the wing, and I’m thinking where did they get the wing from?
“Like was it a sacrificial chicken? I just couldn’t get into it, I was waiting for something to fall out of the sky and hit me.
“Then my prayers were answered.”
Moments later, the sunshine disappeared rain lashed down on the guests.
Everyone made a run for it to avoid getting drenched, and producers were handing out blankets.
However, Lucinda saw the bright side and insisted the bad weather was “good luck”.
She told the cameras: “I think it’s better this way, all the elements came out, the rain, the wind, it’s just been a blast off of all the elements.
“Somebody told me it’s good luck.”
