PICKING the perfect wedding dress isn’t easy for any bride, there are so many different styles, materials and colours you can choose from after all.
That said, a lot of brides still end up going for something fairly traditional for their big day.
But when one woman opted for something a bit more modern she was slammed online by people who thought the gown was ‘inappropriate’ after it was shared on Facebook.
“That’s not a wedding dress, that’s the mosquito net/canopy thing I had hanging over my bed in the 90s,” the posts caption reads.
The gown itself looks like it’s made from a sheer mesh or similar material with small flowers adorned to it.
The bride is wearing nude bra and underwear underneath the gown.
Despite many people loving the modern and bohemian vibe of the dress others weren’t sure it was the best wedding look.
“Welp. It’s a pretty mosquito net,” one person commented.
“Reminds me of those aprons people wear to BBQs with a naked body printed on the front for whatever reason,” a second wrote.
And a third said the gown looks more like “beachwear over a swimsuit” rather than a wedding dress.
Meanwhile, someone else thought the flower appliques looked like “popcorn glued to her dress.”
Not everyone was so harsh though, “If you’ve got it flaunt it,” one person replied to the scathing post.
“Man… I can’t hate on the idea, she’s got the body for it. But the execution is garbage. Do a nude mini slip, and at least get a mesh thing with high quality 3D flowers embroidered on it instead of whatever mess is happening at the bottom.
“It’s fine for a veil, but bump it up for the main act.
“Actually. The more I think about it, the more I’m sure her dress actually was a veil that someone sewed into a dress.”
