With an LOA of 92 feet (27.97 meters), the newest Sport Utility Yacht from Pershing made her debut on July 1. She’s the fourth in the series so far, and the only one in the 90- to 100-foot (27.4- to 30.5-meter) range.
This latest megayacht fulfills Pershing’s tradition of designing and building fast-looking and fast-performing yachts. Sea trials should confirm her twin MAN engines, paired with Castoldi waterjets, deliver a top end of 35 knots. The yacht additionally fulfills what buyers expect in terms of accommodations aboard something her size. Four staterooms, including a full-beam master suite, all sit below decks. So, too, do two crew cabins, each with their own baths and just off the galley.

These and the sporty family styling come from A. Vallicelli & C. Yacht Design, a new design studio for Pershing’s Sport Utility Yacht range. Naturally, that means the designers were able to introduce some firsts. For instance, the Pershing GTX90 yacht has a flying bridge, something neither the GTX70, the GTX80, nor the GTX116 has. According to Pershing, this deck area is 43 percent bigger than that of megayachts in this size range. Owners, their families, and their friends get 355 square feet (33 square meters) for sunning, dining, and more. The sunning area sits aft, while the dining area is directly beneath the hardtop. Since captains enjoy driving out on deck, the flying bridge also includes a helm, with three pedestal chairs. This way guests can join the captain.
Yet another noteworthy first, at least for the GTX models under 100 feet, the Pershing GTX90 yacht has a garage for two watertoys. The design team modeled it around housing both a Williams 395 SportJet tender and a Sea-Doo Spark Trixx watercraft. This bigger garage complements stowage beneath the aft deck’s sunpad for two Seabobs.

Further surprises are inside the main deck. Rather than having a saloon aft and a formal dining area just forward, Pershing and the Vallicelli studio agreed on having a bar, with three barstools, welcome guests as they step inside. It sits to port, opposite a dining area. (Conveniently, the bar has a dishwasher as well.) Both take advantage of the best views, thanks to the glass doors separating the aft deck from the interior. Those doors fully slide open to one side, too.
Since the interior is open plan, owners and guests can easily transition from cocktails or meals to conversation time. A big C-shape settee occupies the center of the space. It’s further in proximity to the helm, where once again three pedestal chairs line the instruments. Owners and captains who want a sense of the outdoors here can opt for an electrically opening skylight.

Lastly, and similar to the GTX116, the Pershing GTX90 yacht has fold-down sides to lend a sense of limitless vistas. When the platforms lower, the aft deck becomes 398 square feet (37 square meters).
If you’re attending the Cannes Yachting Festival, look for this new launch. She’ll make her global boat-show debut there.
