A marina has been acquired as part of a south coast expansion.
Hamble Yacht Services (HYS) has been purchased by Premier Marinas in a deal completed on June 23, and supported by financial and real estate advisory group BTG.
HYS joins Premier’s growing portfolio of marinas across the south coast.
Tim Yetman, managing director at HYS, said: “Having steered HYS for a number of years, alongside an exceptionally capable team, we believe this was the right time to pass the business on to new ownership.

“We have been very considered in selecting the right partner for HYS, and Premier Marinas clearly understands the high-quality service and customer experience that our clients have come to expect.
“For the tenants operating from the marina, this transaction provides continuity while also creating the potential to further enhance the quality of service delivered across the site.”
HYS, established nearly four decades ago and owned by its current stakeholders since 2015, has seen significant investment in its facilities, offering a broad range of services including berthing, storage ashore, drysail, drystack, boat lifting, and launch off.
The company serves a varied client base, from boat enthusiasts to round the world race yacht owners.
Gunjal Patel, partner in deal advisory at BTG, said: “We are very happy to have advised the shareholders of HYS on its sale to Premier Marinas.
“Built on over 40 years of heritage, HYS has earned its strong reputation in the market through consistent service quality, investment, and its long-standing position at the heart of the River Hamble boating community.

“This was a fantastic opportunity for Premier Marinas to strengthen and expand its growing portfolio with both companies sharing a similar ethos of excellence.
“We are pleased to have advised on this transaction and wish Premier Marinas all the best as it continues to grow.”
Premier Marinas, established in 1994, has expanded significantly through both organic growth and acquisitions.
The addition of HYS further strengthens its presence on the south coast, where it already operates sites from Falmouth to Eastbourne, including several in the Solent area.
