Yacht supplier Sialia Yachts and Dutch naval architecture studio Vripack have joined forces to create what is considered to be Sialia Yachts’ most advanced model, the Sialia 80 Explorer. The yacht is capable of using complete electric cruising and is designed to perform well even in difficult conditions.

“While eco-friendly yachting is still a niche, progress toward cleaner technologies is inevitable”, said Stanislav Szadkowski, co-founder and CEO of Sialia Yachts. “The speed of this change depends on our daily efforts and commitment to a greener future.”

Sialia 80 Explorer is designed to redefine exploration and sustainability; to thrive in a variety of environmental conditions, travelling to some of the world’s most remote locations in silence and with minimal environmental impact.

As far as specifics go, the 26.6-metre long and 8.5-metre wide yacht is made out of high-grade marine-type aluminium. It has been designed specifically for “territorial waters” and Environmentally Controlled Areas (ECA). The ship uses an AMPROS propulsion system, two 400 kW electric motors and is able to hit speeds of up to 11 knots (20 km/h) and boasts a range of over 3,000 nautical miles (5,556 km). The yacht can accommodate up to twelve guests across four cabins and there are two crew berths aboard.

Moreover, the design of the yacht looks somewhat futuristic and has been developed to be as comfortable and luxurious as possible for anyone aboard. For example, the master cabin allows  direct beach club access thanks to its smart location on the yacht. A covered outdoor terrace, Starlink satellite and an integrated audio system are just some of the ammenities aboard the yacht.

“We strongly believe that a holistic approach to yacht design leads to a satisfying experience. Proper naval architecture accommodates the exciting exterior aesthetics and playful layout and ensures efficient and safe cruising […] It is this holistic approach to yacht design that makes it the best investment you can make”, said Joost Mertens, fleet and sales manager at Vripack.

The Sialia 80 Explorer was developed by a team working across Poland, France, The Netherlands, Spain and Switzerland. It will be part of the brand’s eco-friendly range, joining the Sialia 59 Loft and the Sialia 59 Launch.
