A North Charleston woman has been arrested after allegedly selling several pieces of stolen jewelry to local pawn shops.

Officers from the North Charleston Police Department were dispatched to Money Man Pawn on Remount Road on the evening of March 28th after the store’s manager located approximately 33 pieces of stolen jewelry found within their inventory.

An investigation was conducted and revealed the suspect, 20-year-old Valery Sofia Araica of North Charleston, had taken merchandise from the jewelry store where she was employed, and sold it at several local pawn shops, profiting roughly $5,000, according to police.
