They are among some of Leeds Dogs Trust’s longest standing residents – but they are on the search for someone to love them and give them their forever home.
These canine companions often require additional training, ongoing veterinary care, or have specific rehoming needs, while others are simply overlooked.

1. Penny
Penny is a beautiful two-year-old Collie Retriever Crossbreed who has had a pretty tough start to life. She’s a really fun and affectionate girl who likes to say hello to everyone she sees. Penny will suit an active adult-only family who want a dog to do lots with. She’s really sociable with other dogs and could potentially share her home as long as they meet first and get along well. | Leeds Dogs Trust

2. Opie
Looking for an older dog who’s full of fun and love? Then Meet Opie! He’s an eight-year-old Collie Labrador Crossbreed who wants to be everybody’s friend. He greets everyone with a waggy tail and wiggly bum! He’s super foody and very smart, so if you fancy teaching him some fun tricks, he’d love that. He needs a peaceful adult-only home with no other pets

3. Nuche
Looking for a super smart, super fun and super handsome Lurcher? Then meet Nuche! He’s two-years-old and bursting with potential. He’s quite shy initially, but once he’s familiar, there’s no stopping him! He’s very affectionate and loves to snuggle with his friends. He’s fine to make doggy friends out and about for walkies, but doesn’t like to share his home, so will need to be the only pet. He needs a calm home and a consistent routine.

4. Milo
Milo is a super gorgeous five-year-old Staffy who adores people, but he just needs a little time and space initially to get to know you. He is really friendly with other dogs and has made tons of friends at Dogs Trust Leeds, but sharing with other pets in his home would make it difficult for him to settle and learn a good routine, so he’ll need to be the only pet in an adult-only home. He would love to have lots of walking buddies, though. | Leeds Dogs Trust

5. Martha
Martha is an amazing young Shar-Pei looking for super special adopters who will see the amazing girl beneath her anxieties. She’s only two-years-old and was sadly found as a stray. Still healing from an operation on her eyes, and needing a lot of TLC, her recovery has been fantastic, but her ordeal has left her very worried by the world, unknown people and dogs. Once Martha knows and trusts you, she is an absolute delight to be around! She will need to be the only pet in an adult home with a secure garden.

6. Kaye
Looking for a super snuggly sofa buddy? Then meet Kaye. He’s a playful two-year-old Cane Corso Crossbreed, who was handed over to Dogs Trust through no fault of his own. Being rehomed at his young age has left him a little worried of the big wide world but he’s come along leaps and bounds through training, and he now soon comes around after a few meets, and plenty of tasty treats. He is very social with other dogs when introduced properly, and he could share his home with a well-mannered doggy friend who could be a good role model for him. | Leeds Dogs Trust
