Small Door started in 2018 and has employed a subscription-based model of veterinary care, including 24/7 telemedicine visits and “unhurried” appointments at their 13 clinics. Small Door has touted their AAHA accreditation as a major selling point, demonstrating their commitment to high-quality pet care. Bond Vet, which began in 2019 in Brooklyn, NY, now operates more than 45 clinics. They started out mainly providing urgent care but have since expanded into dental cleanings, surgery, and other advanced services.
As the new company moves forward, Peyre said that AAHA accreditation will be an important part of its promise to deliver the best care for pets.
