Canyon Ranch is one of the world’s best spas – and as a luxury and wellness writer, I have had the privilege of visiting – and reporting on – this award-winning destination for the past 25 years. And I never tire of it. Every time I go, it is a new thrill – whether it’s a new class that I take, or a spiritual seminar that fortifies me, or, in Lenox, the absolutely wonderful lectures on miracles, gratitude and positivity that have been given there for more than 30 years by a fabulous speaker named Jerry Posner. I always leave refreshed and renewed and strengthened in this journey that we call life. (Oh yes, and I always get the dreaded bodyfat-assessment test that keeps me motivated.)

But to be honest, you know what I love best? The food. OMG, I eagerly await every single snack, every treat and every meal – with gusto. At Canyon Ranch, they have kicked out all the calories, and made smart substitutions, which means you can make extremely wise food choices. Indeed, one of my most-favorite-ever foods on the menu is the Southwest burger, containing 352 calories, 14 grams of protein and 9 grams of fat. In a word, it is scrumptious – and it’s on the lunch menu every day. The vegan burger is made with corn, oyster mushrooms, roasted bell peppers, oats used as a binder, a Southwest spice blend, and onions. It is served on a potato roll with avocado (yum!) and with a house-made pickled relish. In other words, you can eat petite at Canyon Ranch and love every bite. And don’t miss the luscious “hot fudge” complemented with soft-serve yogurt – it’s made with fruit juice and for me, it’s the perfect ending to every meal there.

Well, now there are even more great reasons to visit Canyon Ranch, in Tucson – and that is due to the award-wining spa’s special beauty and wellness event to be held from March 17-21. This fun first-ever festival is called “Enchant at The Ranch.” And get this: Every attendee will leave with a beauty swag bag filled with about $2,500 worth of beauty products.

Is that an OMG moment, or what? This means that you will have access to some of the world’s best dream creams, flawless makeup foundations, and much, much, more, for complexion perfection and all-around wellness that will enhance your well-being. It’s your personal passport to a prettier face and greater good health for your entire body — and psyche.

At the event, Canyon Ranch will welcome industry-leading speakers including Rachel Roy (Founder of Ancient India), Joanna Czech (celebrity esthetician and skincare guru), Janet Gurwitch (Founder of Laura Mercier), Sheena Zadeh-Daly (Founder of Kosas), as well as a collection of marquee beauty and wellness brands including The Outset (Co-founded by Hollywood actress Scarlett Johansson and Kate Foster) and the award-winning South Korean brand Venn Skincare, to participate in its celebration of beauty insights, wellness trends, and exciting products this March in Tucson. The weeklong exposition is a beauty- and wellness-industry celebration that brings together leading beauty brands, influential industry leaders, and passionate consumer guests at this world-class resort venue.

In all, more than 25 brands will be showcased at the event, where they will host panel discussions, provide demonstrations, and offer bespoke services to Enchant attendees. Industry experts will speak about the latest developments in the space and their unique approaches to success. In additional to the exciting Enchant events and experiences, each day guests will have access to the luxury, all-inclusive wellness resort’s daily program, which includes more than 300 posh, pampering spa services, classes and activities daily, plus, among other things, roundtrip airport transfers, three pools, hiking trails, and a labyrinth.

The Enchant experience is open solely to guests staying at Canyon Ranch in Tucson during the festival dates, and each stay includes full registration access to all events and activities. Guests will also be invited to an exclusive gifting suite, hosted by the participating brands, where each guest can create their own swag bag valued at more than $2,500. Prices start at about $950 per night pp, for a Deluxe/Standard room.

Similar programming will be rolling out across Canyon Ranch’s other properties throughout 2024 including an Enchant experience at their Lenox, Mass., location slated for October 20-25. “We are anticipating this to be an annual event at our locations where we can unveil new experiences and interact with beauty purveyors that match our brand ethos in a new and exciting way,” says Deirdre Strunk, Canyon Ranch’s Senior Vice President of Spa and Beauty.

Here are just two interesting bios about some of the speakers.

Rachel Roy is a globally recognized designer, and prior to launching Ancient India she worked in the fashion industry for over 20 years and continues to do so with more than 10 product categories. For years she has been submersed in the teachings of Ayurveda as well as skincare technologies in the US, with the fields’ top minds. She works with leading scientists and doctors in both fields, developing formulations from ancient wisdom traditions and modern science that awaken the skin’s capacity to heal itself, with the goal of helping skin that is inert with aging or other ailments to be made whole again.

Skincare guru Joana Czech has more than 37 years of experience that began in Poland. She believes that the key to beautiful skin is a long-term approach rather than short-term quick fixes. Her treatments combine the most innovative technologies and timeless techniques, many of which she learned in Poland. While in Poland, Joanna did 12,000 hours (about one-and-a-half years) of school to become an aesthetician while in the States you are only required to complete 600 hours. Joanna’s celebrity clients include Kim Kardashian, Hailey Bieber, Amber Valletta, Cara Delevingne, Nicky Hilton, Lily James, and many others. In fact, celebrities such as Paris Hiton and Anna Wintour recently had a signature “Met Gala” Joanna Czech facial in New York right before the celebrity-studded event.

After hearing the speakers, you can recharge. While at the event, you can indulge in two of the resort’s most popular treatments: The Biologique Recherche Lift & Sculpt Facial and the CBD Wellness Ritual.

Canyon Ranch, in my opinion, is the “gold standard” when it comes to spas – and this exclusive inaugural event is going to be one heck of a gilt trip.
