Back in February, Heidi received a message about a cat in need of a foster home.
The person who contacted Heidi explained that the cat had invited herself into their house and made herself comfortable, as if she had always lived there.
A race against time
The person told them the cat was pregnant and needed help as soon as possible. When Heidi and her team arrived to collect the cat, they realised just how urgent the situation was. It looked as though she could give birth at any moment.
The very day she arrived at her new foster home, the cat, now named Bria, gave birth to five tiny kittens. The rescuers were delighted, as the kittens had all gained weight within just 24 hours.
Growing strong
Two days later, Heidi started to supplement Bria’s milk to help the kittens grow. Since then, the five kittens (four females and one male) have gone from strength to strength. The rescuers shared their adorable little faces on Facebook, as you can see in the images below.
Heidi is so happy that Bria is being cared for. Once she has finished looking after her little ones, she will be spayed and put up for adoption. We wish Bria and her kittens all the best for their future adventures!
