Go Electric! Weymouth will be held at the Esplanade from 11am to 3pm alongside Weymouth Town Council’s Community Expo on the seafront. Both events are free.
The event, in partnership with Dorset Council, Let’s Experience Electric, Connected Kerb and the Energy Saving Trust, will give people the chance to see electric cars up close, ask questions and get behind the wheel.
Cllr Jon Andrews, Dorset Council cabinet member for place services, said: “Go Electric! Weymouth is a great opportunity for people to see electric cars in action and get clear, honest information about what owning one is really like.
“For many people, questions about cost, charging and practicality are what hold them back.
“Events like this help turn new technology into something accessible, relevant and realistic for everyday life – especially as we continue to improve local charging options.”

The council is working to expand on-street electric vehicle (EV) charging across the county to make using such vehicles more accessible.
Visitors to Go Electric! Weymouth will be able to see what the new chargepoints look like and learn more about how and where they will be introduced, the council said.
Experts from the Energy Saving Trust will also be on hand to answer questions regarding EV ownership, including batteries, running costs and day-to-day charging.
There will also be representatives from Dorset Council’s EV team and delivery partner Connected Kerb.
Visitors will be able to view cars, book a test drive or accompanied drive, and speak directly to EV experts, local dealers and EV drivers.
Anyone wishing to test drive must be over 21 and have held a full UK driving licence for at least two years. Visitors should bring their UK photocard driving licence and National Insurance number.
