Arlington, VA– Arlington County Police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred at Sonia Jewelers on Langston Boulevard on June 5.

According to a report by ARL Now, the incident took place at approximately 2 p.m. when five suspects allegedly forced entry into the jewelry store by breaking a glass window. Police said the suspects entered the business, damaged display cases, and took jewelry before fleeing the scene.

The Arlington County Police Department reported that one suspect made threatening statements while displaying what appeared to be a firearm, while a second suspect also displayed what appeared to be a gun. No injuries were reported during the incident.

According to police, the suspects left with stolen merchandise in a black sedan. Initial reports cited by the outlet indicated the vehicle may have been a Tesla with Florida license plates.

The suspects were described as wearing dark clothing and face coverings. Police said all five remain at large.

The report stated that the targeted business, Sonia Jewelers, has operated for nearly 40 years and specializes in South Asian gold jewelry, with locations in Arlington and Springfield.

The Arlington County Police Department said the investigation remains ongoing.
