ASUS ROG celebrates 20 years with new gaming peripherals and accessories

ASUS ROG is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, and thus, we’re getting a gorgeous new line up of 20th anniversary gaming products in a complementary black and gold colour scheme. In this article, we’ll be focusing on just the peripherals and accessories that we saw at the sneak peak before Computex actually begins. So stay tuned for our articles on the computing and PC components to round out ROG’s 20th anniversary offerings.

ROG Azoth Extreme Edition 20

This special edition 75% mechanical gaming keyboard gets a machined aluminium chassis, adjustable gasket mounts, a carbon fibre plate and keycaps that have translucent sides and a black top to let the gold backlight shine through.

Utilising ROG’s hot-swappable NX Edition 20 mechanical switches, we were able to do a quick typing test at the showcase area and felt it was relatively responsive. The sound was nice and muted, not irritating like a high-pitched clack, but it’s not quite the thocky sound most people go for these days.

The keyboard also comes with a 24K gold-plated commemorative nameplate on the rear, although it can be detached to display on a desk instead of hiding on the back of the keyboard.

On the top right corner, there’s a tiny 1.47-inch OLED touchscreen and control knob that can switch between features such as backlighting, customisation, volume adjustment and more. The keyboard also comes with a detachable silicone wrist rest and detachable magnetic feet with three different height levels.

ROG Keycap Mystery Box Edition 20

If you’re getting the Azoth Extreme Edition 20 keyboard and want to spruce it up even more, the ROG Keycap Mystery Box Edition 20 is the perfect purchase.

Each blind box comes with a collectible keycap that could be anything from ROG’s logo to an ROG controller, headset, keyboard or mouse. The keyboard keycap is particularly special, however, since its inspired by the split design of the ROG Claymore and comes with two keycaps that extend past the standard 1U keycap size.

ROG Harpe II Extreme Edition 20

The ROG Harpe II Extreme Edition 20 builds on the Harpe II Ace gaming mouse and gives it a fresh new look.

The mouse gets 24K gold-plated accents that’s shown off by the black, translucent shell, as well as a golden scroll wheel and side buttons. The new ROG AimPoint Pro 65K optical sensor offers up to 65,000 DPI sensitivity and 8,000Hz polling, with 70g of max acceleration and is able to be used on glass surfaces.

The optical switches inside are rated for up to 100-million clicks, and the mouse can be connected via wired USB, Bluetooth or 2.4GHz RF.

ROG Destrier Edition 20

How can you game in style if your chair isn’t as cool as your setup? ROG has you covered on all fronts with the ROG Destrier Edition 20.

Essentially a reskin of the Destrier Ergo, this 20th anniversary model comes with new golden accents on the chair’s structure as well as on the fabric tags.

It comes with all the same niceties, such as 2D headrest adjustment, 3D armrest adjustment, lumbar support, height and depth adjustment, and backrest incline adjustment.

ROG Slash Hard-case Luggage & Backpack Edition 20

If you want to show off your ROG loyalty when you’re travelling or out and about, the new Slash hard-case luggage and backpack will definitely do the trick.

The ROG Slash Hard-case Luggage Edition 20 is a limited edition 100% polycarbonate hard-shell carry-on case with spinner wheels, strengthened corners and and an aluminium frame that’s supposed to protect your belongings inside. It also utilises a latch-closure instead of a zipper, with TSA-compliant locks.

On the other hand, the ROG Slash Backpack Edition 20 gets gold accents with the roll-top comfortably accommodating up to an 18-inch laptop. The PU material is water-repellent and tear-resistant, with a Fidlock magnetic buckle and multiple compartments to help carry more items.
