A Blyth couple have launched a stylish dog brand inspired by their love for their own pets.
Jade Levitt and her husband Brian Levitt founded dog wear and accessories business Cedar & Snout at the end of last year.
Balancing the brand alongside their existing careers as a beautician and tattooist, the pair found inspiration for the idea during a trip following the sad passing of their own dog.
Jade said: “We had an American bulldog who passed away last year and we had a campervan that we never had got round to using so we ended up going on adventures in Scotland and doing the NC500.
“We still have our Frenchie Reggie as well and along the way, I realised I felt a bit unfulfilled and I remembered how much I love dogs, so I thought, ‘why not am I not doing a job that I love?’”
Products include stylish collars, harnesses, bottles, hoodies, hats and bags. Purchases can be made on the Cedar & Snout website and the pair also occasionally trade at local markets and hope to have a stall at the upcoming Blyth Live.
“The response has been great,” Jade added. “I feel like we are making a bit of a community online, we are speaking to people and getting to know quite a few dog-owners across the UK and across the world which is really nice.
“I feel like there is such a nice community when it comes to dogs. It is the best thing I have ever done.”
