A man dubbed the “Cobra King” for his supposed immunity from snake venom suddenly felt weak and lost consciousness after he was bitten by his pet King Cobra. Did he lose his ability and did he survive? Let’s find out.
In the next episode of “Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho,” a video shows Danny Sebial of Hilongos, Leyte, described as the “Cobra King”, fighting for his life at the eve of the fiesta of Barangay Tagnate.
Sebial was previously featured in KMJS in 2017 for his skill in taming venomous snakes.
Before he allows himself to be bitten by the deadly reptiles on his lips and fingers, Sebial would recite a prayer. He even refuses to be injected with anti-venom, choosing instead to suck the blood and kiss a prayer book that displays the image of Jesus Christ.
Sebial astounded his audience by placing his pet pythons around his neck and inside his clothing.
For his final act, he would curl a Samar Cobra and a python into a ball which he would then swallow.
But one day, Sebial visited the house of Juvelyn Wasendo, and later dropped by the home of another friend in the afternoon for a drinking session. Here, he displayed his King Cobra.
However, the residents panicked after Sebial was soon fighting for his life after he was bitten on his right hand by his pet cobra.
“Medyo nakaramdam daw siya ng panghihina. Pinaupo siya ng mga tao, dali-dali siyang nag-orasyon sa kaniyang sarili. Hindi na tumalab. Siguro nagkamali siya ng bigkas sa kanyang orasyon dahil lasing na siya,” said witness Sherwin Vincent Lor.
(He said he felt weak. He was made to sit, he quickly said a prayer. It did not work. Maybe he made a mistake with how he chanted the words because he was drunk.)
The Cobra King fell unconscious, and a rescue team arrived.
