Five people were arrested after display cases were smashed and a customer was pepper-sprayed at a jewelry kiosk in Sunvalley Mall, Concord police said.

Multiple firearms were located when the suspects were traced to Richmond, where they were arrested, police said Thursday on social media.

The robbery at the largest regional shopping center in Contra Costa County was reported about 1:24 p.m. on June 28.

At least four people smashed display cases at the Banter jewelry kiosk and pepper-sprayed a patron before fleeing, police said.

Two of the suspects were 18, one 20 and one 21, all from San Francisco. The fifth was a 29-year-old identified as being from San Francisco and Daly City.

They were identified through coordination with the San Francisco Police Department, according to Concord police.
