Fashion enthusiasts are swarming Home Bargains for the store’s viral hair accessories, which have made a welcome return after selling out several months ago. The store’s bow-shaped hair clips, which first created buzz last summer as fashion fans told others to ‘run’ for them, remain incredibly affordable at just 99p. Some shoppers have even noticed ‘similar’ clips in stores like Tesco retailing for £5 more.
These ‘chic’ plastic bow claw clips, available in black and pastel pink, mimic the appearance of an actual bow tying up your hair. As Home Bargains puts it: “Elevate your hairstyle with the adorable Bow Claw Clip. This chic accessory adds a playful touch while keeping your locks stylishly in place – perfect for any occasion!”
Though the clips are currently unavailable on Home Bargains’ website, customers can use the store’s ‘notify me’ service to receive an alert when they are back online. Meanwhile, they can be grabbed in person by heading to your nearest store, reports the Mirror.

Home Bargains announced the restock to its 1.1 million Instagram followers, saying: “Cutest Bows Ever… for Just 99p! Adorable hair accessories perfect for ponytails, pigtails, or just feeling extra cute.”
The comments section quickly became a hub of excitement as fans shared their enthusiasm. One keen buyer confessed: “The bow clips are great got 2 Thursday.”
Another compared prices, stating: “Same stuff in Tesco for about 6 quid,” prompting Home Bargains to respond: “That’s the magic of HB.” A third shopper commented: “Perfect for my preteen daughter.”
Numerous others expressed their delight with remarks such as “omg so cute”, “so pretty”, “love them” and “super cute”. Some fans were already planning their return trips to the store.
In addition to the black and pink plastic claw clips, Home Bargains is offering a two-pack of clips adorned with genuine ribbons in a variety of colours and sizes, including cream, black, and leopard print. The retailer’s large satin bows, priced at just 99p, are available in five different shades and feature a barrette clip for easy use.
Tesco, on the other hand, has a two-pack of Brushworks Satin Hair Bows in classic black and white for £5.99, described as “A timeless duo, perfect for elevating half-up, half-down hairstyles. Ultra-soft satin material, crafted from recycled polyester.”
The supermarket also stocks a range of slightly slimmer Satin Hair Bows by Brushworks in light pink for £4.99. Echoing Home Bargains’ offering, Tesco provides Large Bow Barrette Clips too, albeit at a higher price of £9.99 each.
In January, fashion fans were instantly charmed by the bow-shaped hair accessories, with crowds flocking to social media to flaunt their top picks – including ones from Home Bargains. Fashion blogger Nikita Gerrity gave followers a glimpse of the trend in her TikTok video, showcasing the clips and remarking: “All only 99p too. The cutest bow and floral hair clips.”
Another TikTok enthusiast, Meganlouisebarker, couldn’t resist showing off how the pink bow clip looks when styled in her locks. She urged her followers with enthusiasm: “Run to Home Bargains for the cutest bow clip ever,” capturing the excitement around these adorable adornments.
In the comment section, one person said: “Just bought some of them today, absolutely obsessed so cute.” A second put: “Omg I need !!!!” Megan replied: “My new obsession!! Sooo cute.”
