The brand new VS Jewels & Workshop in Southport town centre is opening at 10am today (Monday 27th April 2026).
The stylish new shop, backed by decades of experience, is opening at 321 Lord Street, next door to the iconic Rebecca’s Jewellers.
The owners of Rebecca’s, which has been owned by four generations of the same family, are behind the new VS Jewels & Workshop, adding something new and exciting to what they already offer.
Customers will be able to enjoy:
- Jewellery repairs
- Bespoke jewellery
- Watch repairs
- Watch batteries
- Rhodium plating and polishing
- Ring resizing
- Jewellery remodelling
- Silver jewellery for sale
There are counters with jewellery available along with a jewellery workshop in store.
VS Jewels & Workshop can carry out most repairs and services on-site by a team of skilled craftspeople within just an hour.
They are specialists in melting customers’ gold and making beautiful bespoke pieces, including wedding rings, engagement rings and more.
People will be able to have their watches repaired, as well as buying new watch batteries or watch straps, or having watch links fitted or shortened while you wait.
It includes watch servicing on luxury Swiss watches, with brands including AP, Omega, Tag Heuer, Breitling , Cartier etc.

The new venture will be open seven days a week, bringing further vitality to Lord Street, which has seen a series of new businesses opening in recent months.
VS Jewels & Workshop is in the unit previously occupied by Lapel Menswear, which moved into nearby Wayfarers Arcade earlier this year.
The transformation has been carried out by Nicholas Interiors Ltd, a local business based in Crosby.
Rebecca’s is one of the longest established businesses on Lord Street, having been welcoming customers from around the country since 1973.
A VS Jewels & Workshop spokesperson said:
“We are really excited to be opening our new VS Jewels & Workshop on Monday, and we look forward to welcoming everyone coming in to see what we offer.
“Rebecca’s Jewellery has been one of the most iconic shops on Lord Street, owned by four generations of the same family.
“While Rebecca’s is a traditional jeweller, we wanted to create a new concept that was more modern and offers an on-site jewellery workshop, to complement and add to what we already provide.
“We love being on Lord Street and we feel very positive that this famous street is very much improving with lots of new investment and more new businesses opening.
“We’re proud to be part of that, opening another quality new local independent business.
“VS Jewels & Workshop is opening at the perfect time, just ahead of a busy May Bank Holiday Weekend where we’re looking forward to seeing the new Big Top Festival, one of the fabulous new events which Sefton Council is bringing to the Lord Street area this year.
“We are also looking forward to The 154th Open Golf Championship returning to Southport this year.
“With most jewellery repairs, people have to wait three days or more until they get their jewellery back – often the pieces are sent away somewhere else to be done.
“We want to offer a fast, efficient service on-site within just one hour by our skilled team.
“We offer a full CAD design service with bespoke jewellery making.
“If you have some old jewellery and you’d like to create something new, special and meaningful from it, then we can work closely with you to do that.
“We are pleased to see Lapel Menswear, one of the longest-established businesses on Lord Street, now operating successfully from Wayfarers Arcade.
“As soon as their unit on Lord Street became available we reacted to the opportunity immediately.
“It’s in the perfect location on the iconic Lord Street boulevard, which is seeing a real resurgence with some exciting new events along with investment into the Town Hall Gardens, The Garrick, Coffee King and a number of new businesses such as Wine & EWords by Watson, which opened last year.
“Please look out for our new website and follow our Instagram page for the latest news and details about what you can look forward to.”
