The DS Penske team approaches this stage with confidence, bolstered by points earned in Sanya on June 20th. The Shanghai circuit has also proven successful for them: in 2025, the Franco-American team achieved a one-two finish in the first race of the weekend, with Maximilian Günther taking the win ahead of Jean-Éric Vergne.

This year, Günther and his teammate Taylor Barnard, who finished 3rd in this same race in 2025, will be aiming for another points haul at the wheel of the DS E-Tense FE25. This objective is all the more significant as the brand could, this weekend, surpass the 2,000-point mark in Formula E since its debut in Season 2.
