West Sussex Fire & Rescue Service (WSFRS) said it responded to ‘reports of a car on fire’ in Offington Avenue at 2.11am on Thursday, July 7.
A WSFRS spokesperson said: “Joint Fire Control sent one fire engine from Worthing to the scene.
“Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used hose reels and a jet to extinguish the fire, which is believed to be of deliberate ignition.
“Fortunately there were no casualties.
