Based in Moreton, Newport Pet Crematorium has been established by local couple Lynette Looker-Revell and her husband Matthew Revell. The venture was born from their shared desire to offer a compassionate, dignified alternative for families navigating the profound grief of losing a much-loved companion animal.

As lifelong pet lovers who currently share their home with an eclectic mix of dogs, cats, rabbits, and ferrets, the couple understand the intense pain that accompanies the death of a pet. Their service focuses entirely on individual care, ensuring every animal is treated with absolute respect.

Bereaved families are given complete flexibility during a difficult time, with the option to arrange for a sensitive collection from either their home or veterinary surgery. Alternatively, owners can choose to visit the facility in person, where a dedicated “goodbye room” provides a peaceful, private space to say their final farewells.

The founders are already familiar faces within the local animal community. They currently operate the popular Newport Dog Park, and Lynette previously ran a pet shop in Newport town centre. These deep local roots have given them a unique insight into the needs of regional pet owners, particularly following recent scientific findings highlighting the area’s massive pet population.

A comprehensive UK study published in recent years identified nearby Telford as a major national hotspot for dog ownership, recording the highest dog-to-human ratio in the country. With so many households in the area centering their daily lives around their animals, Lynette and Matthew believe a dedicated, empathetic service is more essential than ever to help local families process their loss properly.

Newport Pet Crematorium operates seven days a week, offering extended availability from 8 am until 9 pm to accommodate families outside of standard working hours. To maintain total privacy and a peaceful environment for every client, the facility operates strictly by appointment.

Bookings and enquiries can be made by contacting the team directly on 01952 374 001, and further details regarding their services and memorial options can be found online at newportpetcrematorium.com.
