Taylor Swift has sold off one of her private jets behind the scenes after issuing a cease and desist letter to student who has been publishing her flight data on social media
Taylor Swift is reported to have downsized to just one private jet after selling off her second one behind the scenes.
According to the Federal Aviation Authority’s website, the 34-year-old hitmaker sold her Dassault Falcon 900 on January 30. The jet was registered to SATA LLC which shares an address with Taylor Swift Productions in Nashville, and had been in her possession since 2009.
It is now registered to a business in Missouri. The jet has a list price of $44million (£38m) when new. Up until now, Taylor owned both the Dassault 900 and a Dassault 7X which is still registered to Island Jet Inc – another holding company that shares its address with Taylor Swift Productions.

The Dassault 900 was the smaller of the two jets, carrying up to 12 passengers, while the Dassault 7X can hold up to 16 passengers and is designed with longer flights in mind. Fans were expecting that Taylor will use the 7X to travel to Tokyo this weekend for her concerts so she can jet back in time to catch boyfriend Travis Kelce’s huge Super Bowl clash with the Kansas City Chiefs against the 49ers in Las Vegas.
Taylor has previously been slammed for using private jets in the past after she topped a list of celebrities with the most private jet carbon emissions in 2022. It was also reported in 2023 that her private jets had spent over 166 hours in flight during the initial run of dates on her Eras Tour.
A spokesperson for Taylor told The Mirror that she purchased carbon credits to offset the usage of her jets. Taylor has tried to limit the information available about her flights in the past by, using the FAA’s privacy ICAO aircraft address program, also known as PIA.
However, college student Jack Sweeney who uses public information to track the flights of celebrities has published data about her trips on social media which has now prompted her to threaten legal action against him. Her legal team has issued a cease-and-desist letter accusing him of “stalking and harassing behavior.”
A legal letter to Jack explains: “We are aware of your public disputes with other high-profile individuals and your tactics in those interactions, including offering to stop your harmful behavior only in exchange for items of value. While this may be a game to you, or an avenue that you hope will earn you wealth or fame, it is a life-or-death matter for our Client. Ms. Swift has dealt with stalkers and other individuals who wish her harm.”
Taylor has been victim to a range of stalking instances over the years. Most recently, one man was arrested outside of Taylor’s New York City residence, but returned repetitively to her home despite police intervention. This is not the first instance of her safety being compromised by stalkers.
A spokesperson for Taylor told The Mirror: “We cannot comment on any ongoing police investigation but can confirm the timing of stalkers suggests a connection. His posts tell you exactly when and where she would be.”
