“The Soil” member Luphindo Ngxanga has married his longtime partner, corporate event and club DJ Tsholofelo Popi, marking a new chapter in a relationship they’ve mostly kept out of the spotlight.
The couple shared the news through Instagram, posting a few glimpses from their traditional wedding and pairing them with heartfelt captions about their journey.
They reflected on how far they’ve come, describing their relationship as something that grew through uncertainty and difficult moments.
Ngxanga shared that there were times they doubted things would work out, but they’ve since built something strong and lasting. He also expressed gratitude for their partnership, calling Popi his best friend and life partner as he welcomed her as Mrs Ngxanga.
“I never thought this day would come, and yet here we are. I’m so grateful to God, deeply blessed that He chose you – a beautiful flower I will cherish for the rest of my life.
“Motho, you are truly one of a kind. There was a time when things felt uncertain, when we fought and doubted… but look at us now. We’ve grown into something powerful, something unbreakable.
Thank you for allowing me into your life-for being my partner, my best friend, my lover… my Motho waka. Today, I stand proud to call you Mrs Ngxanga,” he wrote.
Popi also shared her own message, thanking those who showed up for them and reflecting on what the day meant.
“Our traditional wedding day was nothing short of beautiful – a true celebration of love, culture, and the journey that brought us here. 🤍
“I am so deeply grateful for the husband I get to walk this life with, and for every family member and friend who came to stand beside us, support us, and share in our joy. Your presence meant more than words can express.
“Love is not always easy – it takes patience, growth, and unwavering commitment. But in the end, love wins. And this… this moment, this union, is the beautiful result of everything love gives and teaches us.

In a separate post, she opened up about Ngxanga’s role in her children’s lives, sharing how he stepped in fully and chose them as his own.
She spoke about his consistency, the way he supports and guides them, and how that has shaped their sense of security and confidence.
“There are moments in life when words don’t feel big enough to hold everything your heart carries – and this is one of them.
“Watching you love my children has been one of the greatest blessings of my life. From the time they were just four years old to now, at ten, you have shown up in ways that go far beyond what anyone could ever expect.
“You didn’t just step into their lives – you chose them, wholeheartedly and without hesitation,” she said.
Their love story goes back a few years, starting with a chance meeting during a night out at a restaurant.
Popi has previously shared with “Zimoja” that she recognised Ngxanga, but wasn’t sure from where at first, and was drawn to his energy and the way he approached her. From there, things grew naturally.
Despite both working in the entertainment space, they’ve managed to keep their relationship private.
