Dutch shipyard Damen Yachting has announced the delivery of its second Amels 80 superyacht, Netto II. According to BOATPro, the 79.8-metre new build departed the yard’s Vlissingen sheds on Saturday (13 June), to make her maiden voyage to Poole, the UK. She is now en route to the Mediterranean ahead of the summer season.
Construction on the second hull from the flagship Amels Limited Editions line began on speculation, with the yacht sold to a buyer – described as an “experienced owner with a clear vision for active use at sea”– in December 2022, months after the model’s unveiling. Initial construction took place at the shipyard’s facilities in Galati, Romania, before the yacht was moved to Vlissingen, the Netherlands, to undergo outfitting.
Netto II hit the water at the beginning of February 2026 – unveiling her custom “dolphin blue” metallic hull, platinum bootstripe and white superstructure – following the first in the series, Pangea, which was delivered last October and won a Judges’ Commendation at the World Superyacht Awards this year.

The main saloon benefits from floor-to-ceiling panoramic windows
Exterior design of the Amels 80 is from Espen Øino, with naval architecture from Damen Yachting, while the custom interiors of hull two are owed to Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design. Though most details remain private, Netto II is said to host several custom features, including a speakeasy bar with a “60’s casino vibe”.
During the original announcement of her sale in 2022, the yard also specified that American studio JQB Design – renowned for the interior design of the 126-metre Octopus – would be involved in some areas of the yacht’s interior and exterior design. Netto II is believed to be the successor of the 34.9-metre Nordlund yacht Netto, which was delivered in 2014 and features a similar blue hull with design by JQB.
Model highlights of the Amels 80 include a 200-square-metre sundeck with an “oversized” jacuzzi, a dedicated owner’s deck and a foredeck helicopter landing area, the latter of which on Netto II appears to also transform into a sports court. Closer to the water lies the model’s beach club with unfolding sea terraces on three sides, as well as a wellness and spa area with a gym, hammam and sauna. The space is illuminated from the 6.5-metre, glass-bottomed pool of the main deck aft above.
A volume of 2,175GT will provide accommodation for up to 14 guests in seven cabins, comprising a private 517-square-metre owner’s deck and six cabins on the main deck. Additional accommodation sleeps 21 crew, while a forward tender garage is complete with a wide range of watercraft and toys.
Netto II embarked on sea trials in April this year
“It has been an immense privilege to serve as build captain for Netto II and to be back at the Amels yard, watching the owner’s dream take shape,” said Captain Fraser Gow. “She is a truly remarkable yacht, and I feel deeply honoured to be at the helm of such an extraordinary Amels 80 build. Leaving the Amels family behind is bittersweet, but now it is time for Netto II to do what she was built for, and I cannot wait to take her out onto the open ocean and begin the adventures that lie ahead.”
Owner’s representative Kees de Keizer added: “The collaboration with Damen Yachting has been a pleasure. Throughout the build, we were able to rely on the shipyard’s expertise, flexibility and commitment to quality. The opportunities for customisation allowed us to realise the yacht the owner had envisioned.”

Jan van Hogerwou, commercial executive USA at Damen Yachting, concluded: “It has been a privilege to bring this experienced owner’s vision to life. Created for an adventurous young family with a love of life on and in the water, Netto II is ready for ocean exploration and time shared with family and friends. We wish Netto II, her owner and family, fair winds and following seas.”
According to BOATPro, Amels has six superyachts currently in build or on order, including four Amels 80 builds and the yard’s flagship, which is due for delivery this year.
