WEST MANSFIELD, Ohio (WSYX) — Dozens gathered Saturday evening in Union County to enjoy a taste of Italy and to make a difference in the lives of shelter pets.
The Union County Humane Society hosted its Taste of Italy gala at Prairie Stone Farm, turning an evening of dinner and live music into support for pets in need.
The money raised from the event will help the shelter cover costs ranging from medical treatments to daily care, as it works to place more animals into loving homes.
Several community leaders and volunteers also received recognition for their contributions to the cause.
ABC6/FOX28’s Kurt Ludlow emceed the event.
Organizers say events like this can make a difference in the lives of pets, as they work to move their mission forward one animal at a time.
