7 Best Facial Sculpting Tools, Tested By a Beauty Editor

by R.Donald

Facial sculpting skin tools are quickly becoming one of the most talked-about categories in beauty. What started with simple jade rollers has evolved into a new wave of at-home devices designed to lift, tone and define with no clinic appointment required. Joining a growing category of beauty tech, including LED face masks and microcurrent tools, facial sculpting devices promise a more sculpted look with consistent use.

As a beauty editor edging further into the latter half of my thirties, I have to admit that I have found myself paying close attention to this category lately. While I’m not interested in injectables or anything invasive just yet (no judgment—I’m just an absolute wimp when it comes to being in an even slightly medicalised setting), I can’t lie and say that the subtle shifts in my face aren’t starting to bother me. I’m about to turn 37, and with growing older naturally comes skin that feels a little less firm, a touch more looseness around the jawline than I’d like, and a gradual slowing down in collagen production that means my face just looks a whole lot less plump than it used to. And while I’ve never been about chasing perfection (I’m low-maintenance at heart), I would like to preserve what I have, and perhaps tighten it up slightly, in a way that doesn’t feel too intensive.
