China’s automaker Li Auto (2015) saw a net loss of 4.7 billion yuan (HK$5.48 billion) for the six months ended June 30, compared to a net income of 2.48 billion yuan (HK$2.7 billion) in the same period last year.

Total revenue for the first half of the year recorded 48.7 billion yuan.

Vehicle sales were 24.1 billion yuan in the second quarter alone, representing a decrease of 16.7 percent from the same period last year.

Net loss was 1.7 billion yuan, compared with 1.1 billion yuan net income in the second quarter of 2025. 98,330 vehicles were delivered in the second quarter, down 11.5 percent.

The company expects between 95,000 and 100,000 vehicles to be delivered in the third quarter, increasing from 1.9 percent to 7.3 percent. Total revenues are expected to be between 26.6 billion and 28 billion yuan.

“Amid intense market competition and a major model refresh cycle, Li Auto remained the best-selling domestic automotive brand in China’s RMB200,000-and-above NEV market in the first half of 2026,” said Li Xiang, chairman and chief executive of Li Auto.
