“Kindness, compassion and putting the cat’s emotional wellbeing first”
A local cat grooming specialist is celebrating after receiving another nomination in the prestigious Animal Star Awards.
Caroline Moss, owner of Bentley & Bear in Edlesborough, has once again been recognised for her work in animal welfare and grooming, adding to a growing list of achievements that includes being named Holistic Groomer of the Year 2025.
Founded in 2020, Bentley & Bear has evolved into an increasingly cat-focused business, with Caroline now working towards becoming a cat-exclusive grooming service. Her approach combines professional grooming with a strong emphasis on feline welfare, behaviour and emotional wellbeing.

Working from a dedicated grooming studio in Edlesborough, Caroline specialises in supporting cats who may find grooming challenging, including elderly cats, rescue cats, anxious cats and those experiencing coat maintenance difficulties due to age, health or mobility issues.
A Fear Free Certified Groomer, Low Stress Handling Silver Certified professional and member of the Association of Holistic Feline Professionals, Caroline is passionate about helping cats receive the care they need while respecting their individual needs and emotional wellbeing.
Speaking about the nomination, Caroline said: “Receiving another Animal Star Award nomination is incredibly special. As a small independent business, it means a great deal to know that the work I do with cats and their owners is valued and recognised. Every cat is an individual, and I feel privileged to be trusted with their care.”
Alongside grooming, Caroline is committed to educating owners about feline welfare, preventative coat care and the often-overlooked links between grooming difficulties, pain, mobility and underlying health concerns.

The Animal Star Awards celebrate individuals and organisations across the UK who have made an outstanding contribution to animal welfare, care and education.
For Caroline, the nomination is not only recognition of the journey so far, but also encouragement as Bentley & Bear continues its transition towards becoming a specialist cat grooming service.
“The ethos remains the same as it was on day one,” Caroline added. “Kindness, compassion and putting the cat’s emotional wellbeing first.”
