It’s all coming back to us now.
Years before Kylie Jenner donned a daring Roberto Cavalli halter gown for Jordyn Woods and Karl-Anthony Towns’ wedding, legendary vocalist Celine Dion wore the same skin-baring style on the red carpet.
The five-time Grammy winner wore the original, cream-colored runway version of the designer dress to the 2003 Billboard Music Awards, pairing it with Marilyn Monroe-style platinum curls, diamond drop earrings and metallic stilettos.
Jenner, meanwhile, wore a black version of the backless look to Woods and Towns’ Malibu nuptials last weekend, in accordance with the event’s chic “all black” dress code.
The “Kardashians” star styled the gown with a jaw-dropping 14-carat Rahaminov Diamonds ring and Christian Louboutin sandals with clear PVC straps.
“Celine wore it better,” one fan posted on X, while another wrote, “Incredible how in Celine it turned out super glamorous and in the other one it turned out really TikTok Shop.”
Jenner wasn’t the only wedding guest to show up in a dress first made famous by a fellow star; her friend Hailey Bieber wore an embellished black Versace gown originally modeled on the runway by Naomi Campbell.
In addition to her highly decorated musical career, Dion, now 58, has become a fashion icon over the years.
Earlier this week, the “My Heart Will Go On” hitmaker was revealed as Harper’s Bazaar’s September cover star, posing for a spread in Bvlgari jewels and designer looks from the likes of Gucci, Valentino, Balenciaga and Saint Laurent.
Dion will soon return to the stage for a five-week residency at Paris La Défense Arena, following a years-long battle with stiff person syndrome that threatened to cut her career short.
