McDonald’s Says ‘I Do’ to Wedding Flavours: Personalised Sauce Pots for your Big Day

by R.Donald

McDonald’s is celebrating the 2026 wedding season with limited-edition personalised sauce pots, offering couples a playful alternative to traditional wedding favours for their guests.

With some of the biggest celebrities making their way down the aisle this summer, 2026 has become a year of saying “I do” – and McDonald’s is getting in on the wedding season.

The fast-food brand is giving nearly-weds the chance to put a McDonald’s twist on their special day with Wedding Flavours, a limited-edition wedding favour centred around the brand’s iconic sauce pots.

Designed to keep guests fuelled long after the first dance, the personalised pots offer couples a playful alternative to more traditional wedding favours. And, unlike sugared almonds, they are designed to be enjoyed on the night or kept as a personalised keepsake.

The campaign, developed in partnership with Red Consultancy, features photography by Henry Redcliffe, best known for capturing Charli XCX’s tours, in what McDonald’s describes as a first-of-its-kind creative collaboration behind the camera for the brand.

The Wedding Flavours sauce pots can be customised with a bespoke message on the pot lid, while an outer sleeve provides even more space for couples to create something unique to their big day.

The result is a wedding favour that brings together two increasingly social aspects of modern celebrations – personalisation and shareable moments – while giving guests something they can actually enjoy.

McDonald’s suggests the limited-edition keepsakes could make their way onto guests’ social feeds, adding a distinctly McDonald’s touch to wedding photography and celebrations.

The initiative also taps into a familiar wedding tradition in an unexpected way. Rather than guests making a late-night trip to McDonald’s after the celebrations, the brand is bringing the experience directly to the wedding party.

To mark the launch, @McDonald’sUK Instagram is giving 20 couples the opportunity to win their own bespoke Wedding Flavours.

The competition opened at 5pm on 10 August, with couples given just 48 hours to enter for the chance to secure their personalised wedding favours.

For the winning couples, the prize includes up to 150 personalised sauce pots, ready to distribute to guests on their special day, alongside 150 portions of large Fries for dipping.

With the initiative, McDonald’s is taking a familiar product and putting it at the centre of a highly personal occasion, transforming its sauce pots into a limited-edition memento for couples and their guests.

As wedding celebrations continue throughout the summer, Wedding Flavours offers a distinctly McDonald’s answer to the traditional wedding favour – combining customisation, food, and a little late-night Maccies spirit in one keepsake.
