Casio’s reliable and versatile range of affordable watches has developed a devoted cult following, and for good reason. Whether it’s a bulky, gorpcore G-Shock or a low-key dress watch for a special occasion, the Japanese watchmaker has you sorted, and for a very reasonable price. Now, four more watches, initially revealed last month, have been confirmed for release in Europe, and they’re the perfect piece if the trending Cartier Tank has left you craving a dressy, distinctive watch on a budget.
The new watches in the MTP-B215 range, listed on the European website as “coming soon”, come in three different dial colors; three have metal bracelets and one comes on a leather strap. All four are analogue watches with three hands on a rectangular dial. According to the brand, they all remain accurate to within 20 seconds each month, have a battery that should last around three years, and are water resistant up to 50 meters.
All three colors on offer—black, cerulean, and silver—come with a seven-row metal bracelet, but only the silver-dial model is offered with a brown leather strap. Each watch comes in a 39.7mm silver-toned stainless steel case: the perfect size for a noticeable but still subtle dress watch.
As always with Casio, the watches all come at a fantastic price, especially for their sleek design and relative durability for a less functionality-oriented timepiece. In Europe, they’ll cost €89,90 ($105). Details of a launch in North America have not yet been revealed, but we’re crossing our fingers for more information soon. Watch this space.
