The Motorola Moto G67 is positioned as an affordable mid-range smartphone that impresses above all with its outstanding display and long battery life. But not everything shines: the performance remains average and the current crisis is evident in the memory configuration.
A screen that impresses
The 6.78-inch AMOLED display is the absolute highlight of the G67. With a peak brightness of up to 3,599 nits in our HDR test, it outperforms many competitors – even significantly more expensive models. The 120 Hz refresh rate ensures smooth animations and a particularly responsive user experience.
Thanks to Corning Gorilla Glass 7i, the display is also resistant to scratches and drops. Colors look vivid, the contrast is high and everything remains easy to read even in direct sunlight. Anyone who values a brilliant viewing experience will get their money’s worth here.
Long runtime, but with minor weaknesses
The 5,200 mAh battery easily lasts a whole day in everyday use, and the 30 watt fast charging function recharges the battery in no time at all. There is no 3.5 mm jack connection, although this is available on the Moto G67 Power, for example. In addition, mobile phone reception occasionally proved to be a little shaky in the test, which can be particularly annoying when on the move.
Performance and software: Solid, but nothing more
The built-in MediaTek processor copes reasonably well with everyday tasks, stutters are not that rare. The four-year software updates sound good at first, but other manufacturers now offer significantly longer support periods. 128 GB of memory is typical of the class, but the 4 GB of RAM is quite low. Especially when you compare it with other models from last year: the pressure to save money due to the immense increase in RAM prices is evident here.
Camera and processing: mixed results
The 50 MP main camera of the Moto G67 delivers acceptable results for the price range and the front camera is particularly impressive. The workmanship of the G67 is of a high standard: The back made of soft plastic is reminiscent of leather, feels comfortable in the hand and has a high-quality feel. The fingerprint sensor in the power button works quickly and reliably.
Conclusion: Good price-performance ratio with clear strengths and weaknesses
The Moto G67 is a stylish, affordable mid-range smartphone that scores particularly well with its brilliant display and long battery life. Anyone looking for a bright, responsive display and robust workmanship will find a good offer here.
However, if you are expecting top performance, lots of memory or long-term updates you should look elsewhere. However, the low price makes the G67 an attractive option.
