Cowes Week fireworks: All you need to know for Friday’s finale

by R.Donald

The night skies above the Solent are set to glitter and sparkle as the Cowes Week sailing regatta closes with a fireworks finale.

The display, last held in 2019 and which can be seen on the mainland, will close the week’s racing involving hundreds of boats and thousands of competitors off the Isle of Wight as the event celebrates its bicentenary year.

Ferry companies are running pre-bookable party boat trips to watch the display from the water, events are also being held at Calshot and at Lepe Country Park car parks which will remain open until 23:00 BST – parking fees apply.

The North Sails Cowes Week fireworks will start on Friday at 21:30, off the Parade, Cowes.
