Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce may not be done sharing their Madison Square Garden wedding with the world.
The couple married on July 3 in New York City, but new reports have fans wondering whether the tightly controlled event was filmed for a future documentary, private wedding film or official video release.
Entertainment Weekly reported that several signs around Madison Square Garden pointed to a film shoot, while a notice inside the venue warned attendees that photography and videography would take place during the event.
No documentary has been announced by Swift, Kelce or their representatives. Still, the filming language, strict privacy rules and lack of guest-shot footage have made the possibility one of the biggest post-wedding theories.
The Documentary Talk Started With Filming Signs
EW reported that “No parking” signs near Madison Square Garden referenced a “film shoot” scheduled from June 20 to July 4. The outlet also reported that a sign inside the venue notified attendees that “photography and videography” would occur at an event between June 29 and July 3.
The same sign reportedly said that entering the venue meant agreeing to confidentiality around the event. That language helped fuel speculation that Swift and Kelce’s team was not only trying to keep guests quiet, but also controlling footage for an official use later.
Journalist Rob Shuter told NewsNation, in comments cited by EW, that he believes Swift may have filmed the wedding herself and could decide later what to do with the footage.
The Wedding Was Already Under Tight Control
The filming rumors fit with how carefully the wedding was handled. EW reported that guests were asked to sign nondisclosure agreements and that at least one guest confirmed a no-phone rule.
The outlet also said it learned that at least one New York City restaurant involved in catering the wedding was barred by an NDA from discussing its role in the event.
That means fans probably will not see many real photos or videos from inside the ceremony unless Swift and Kelce release them themselves. If an official wedding film exists, the no-phone policy would help explain why the couple’s team kept such tight control over what guests could record.
Daily Mail Reported a Thank-You Gift Angle
Daily Mail reported that Swift and Kelce filmed moments from the celebration and may send a documentary-style video to their guests as a thank-you gift.
Neither Swift nor Kelce has announced a wedding documentary, a guest-only video, a streaming project or any public release plan.
The thank-you-gift idea would make sense as a private use for the footage. It would also fit a wedding where guests were reportedly kept from filming their own memories inside Madison Square Garden.
Swift Has Released Personal Projects Before
Disney+ has released previous Swift projects, including Folklore: The Long Pond Studio Sessions. AMC Theatres also handled the release of Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour, which became a major theatrical event in 2023.
EW noted that Disney executives Bob Iger, Dana Walden and David Greenbaum were reportedly invited to the wedding, while AMC Theatres CEO Adam Aron attended the ceremony and briefly shared details from inside the event before deleting his post.
